Sal-O-Mon Family Restaurant

Despite driving past a million times, I've somehow missed noticing this place. The food is FANTASTIC. My oldest son told us about it so we went in to try it out. The ceviche starter was fresh, our choice was red snapper for the fish in it... (multiple options available) it was really mild and delishious. We all ordered different items from around the menu and everything was AWESOME. This is NOT Tex-Mex food, Its more authentic Mexican food. You get to choose what type of sauce for your enchiladas, I went w spicy red, it had kick and was delishious. Wife ate filet mignon fajitas and said they were very tender and delishious. Not exactly sure what my son and daughter in law ordered but it looked good and all I heard was good things as they are every bite of food. Server was knowledgeable of the menu and a great help in my ordering, never felt rushed either. Seems like a family owned and operated buisness, my son noted one gentleman that sobbed by our table was the owner. Nice guy. Nothing but good things to say about the food and service. Such a fantastic hidden gem. We will be back.!

I ate here tonight with my son and parents. The food was incredible - the Bluefin Tuna Ceviche was the best ceviche I’ve ever had. It was so good, grandma ordered one to go. The server was excellent, Grandpa said he was a real asset to the business- he joked with my son, was patient, and very attentive. 5 stars across the board. I drive past this restaurant almost every day but I never knew it existed. I’m so glad I found it from a Google map search. We’ll definitely eat here again.

When they say right next to the front door "Authentic mexican and NOT texmex" you've got a lot to live up to, and they did. Tried the Asada dinner plate and it was good. Top it off with some of the red homemade hot sauce and everything ends up with the flavor and spice you would expect. I'll definitely be back to try more of what's on the menu.

Truly an amazing restaurant! The fajitas are our favorite as are the margaritas. Not too sweet or sour and they are made with the perfect amount of tequila. Service is always wonderful and we look forward to going back every time we are in the area.

We celebrated our 17th Anniversary here today! Great margaritas, delicious food and a nice laid back atmosphere! It was wonderful all the way around!

If your wanting a true food experience, this is a place to go. This is not TexMex this is true Mexican food from deep south Mexico. Margaritad were spot on not to bitter or sweet, light and refreshing. The owner is so personable and greeted us after we sat, recommending off the menu option. Food was absolutely fantastic and nothing to spare cause we ate it all.

Delicious food. Friendly staff. Real Mexican food. We had the shrimp ceviche. I had the shrimp tacos. They are street taco size. My husband had the chicken quesidilla. All the food was absolutely delicious. Highly recommend.
